But unfortunately, the parts that would be better are not the parts that are bingeing, and in order to stop the bingeing, we have to address how it is helping, not hurting you. Once again I am totally humbled by your beaking and Realism, Geneen! It’s ok to eat whatever you want, as long as you are conscious of it.
Breaking Free from Emotional Eating
I do like Geneen Roth, but by the time I got about 50 pages into this book, the content shifted toward those with binge eating disorder BED – something that I am not currently suffering from. I started out by asking my fat what it wanted from me. It’s one of the reasons I love reading Geneen Roth’s ideas about eating and health.

At least I have not gained it all, and have an appointment. Regardless of how it may appear, what we do really does make sense. And I hate it. Out of all Geneen Roth books I have read, this is my least favorite and I think it is because she offers a TON of tips to help you not eat emotionally.

Kim, your words really nailed me. The one helpful thing I learned was to make sure that I’m eating because I’m hungry, and not for other reasons.

I too experienced the same thing. I also wanted to learn more about people who do have a real food addiction. Definitely will be a re-read!
