Syrah may seem about to give up on her dream, but she finds a way to combine her love of snowboarding with what she discovers are her many other assets, to help a new friend in need, and make her family proud of her.

It was a great read. Syrah was injured in a snowboarding accident. I rate this book a 4 because I can relate to it and it made me think about similar situation I went through. I know I don’t, partially because I live in the jhstina where no one knows how to snowboard. Jun 16, T rated it it was ok.

I enjoyed reading about Syrah’s life, and how she tackled her fears. My library Help Ooverboard Book Search. Her father, Ethan Cheng, made the cell phone what it is today. Believe me this story is going to blow your minds off, and make you realize that everything is in your power and you have the right to create your own identity. I really enjoyed this book.


Only her ancient nanny, Bao Mu, brings any normalcy or comfort. I was afraid this was gonna be a poor-little-rich-girl story, and I don’t know enough about snowboarding to care about it, but Syrah turned out to be a character easy to sympathize with.


My favorite part of the book is when her mother and father suprise her with her birthday gifts because she realizes overobard her parents do care about her. The writing here is also grittier than a lot of books I have read lately. Fhen for giving out the entire backstory, but mostly for making it out to seem like another cookie-cutter YA rom Syrah knows better than most that appearances can be deceiving.

Her best friend, Age, has a new girlfriend who doesn’t believe there is room in their relationship for Syrah. Syrah and Lillan organize a Charity Snowboarding Event to help spread awareness for bone marrow transplant and the fact that everyone should register for it This book is just hfadley amazing.

But it has its advantages in a way too–when Syrah decides she wants to be a part of her family and use everything to get what she wants. I hate how slow the book went. Do you want headlye read a book about a teenage girl who has everything?

But when I look at this book, I just see a battle of messy ideas that tries too hard to overlap each other.
